An Honorary Life Member in the Texas PTA may be awarded to any deserving community leader, teacher, parent, administrator or any other individual for their outstanding contribution to the well being of children and youth. A local, council, district or state PTA may award the Honorary Life Membership.

Awarding the life membership to those who have exemplified their commitment to children serve two purposes: first, it honors an individual and second, the funds which are sent in payment for membership are used for extension of PTA work in leadership, training, district conferences and workshops.
